What is the Varsity Club?
The Varsity Club is the Booster Club for Lewis University Athletics. Proceeds from this member program are used for small, capital improvement projects, or support athletics program operations. 

How are my gifts used?   
Support from recent years has yielded the following:
  • replaced our basketball court
  • purchased new island baskets
  • installed a state-of-the-art scoreboard with video display
  • purchased digital scorer’s tables
  • built a press box and remodeled the dugouts at the softball field
  • installed batting cages and hitting nets for baseball, softball and golf
  • installed new equipment in the training room
  • added a new scoreboard and timing system for our swimming pool
  • purchased an indoor putting green with chipping collar for our golf programs
Is my gift tax deductible?
Lewis University is a 501c3 organization and donations can be used for income tax deductions. A cash gift entitles you to the most generous federal income tax charitable deduction up to 50 percent of adjusted gross income. If all deductible gifts in that year exceed the 50-percent limit, the excess amount may be carried over as a deduction for up to five years.

I want my gift to go to a specific sport; can I do this?
Yes. You may restrict your donation to a specific sport or department project. A restricted gift may only be used for those purposes.
