Bill Scholl played baseball for the Flyers from 1968-1972.  He quickly established himself as one of the finest left-handed pitchers in Flyer history.  His thirty-one career victories establishes him as the winningest left-handed pitcher in Lewis baseball history and ranks him third in all-time career wins.
 
He ranks first in single-season shutouts with six.  During his four years at Lewis, he pitched over three hundred innings and recorded over three hundred strike outs.  Scholl led the Flyers to NAIA National Tournament appearances in 1971 and 1972.
 
He earned NAIA All-District Team honors in 1971 and 1972 and was named to the Region VI All-Tournament Team in 1971.
 
He was named captain and Most Valuable Player in his senior season.
 
Upon graduation, Scholl signed a professional contract with the New Your Mets and after a short stint in high school coaching, joined the Office Equipment Company of Chicago where he serves as an Account Manager.
 
Bill is married and lives in Orland Park, Illinois with his wife Mary Alice and four children – Bill, Dan, Mary Ann and Ellen.
