Hutt Stops 14 Shots against Wisconsin-Parkside

KENOSHA, Wis.--The Lewis University women's soccer team lost its sixth straight game and fell to 2-9 overall with a loss to defending conference champion Wisconsin-Parkside.

The Flyers (2-9, 0-5 Great Lakes Valley Conference) were held without a shot for the first time this season and were held scoreless for the eighth time this year in the 3-0 loss.

Wisconsin-Parkside (10-1, 4-1 GLVC) is ranked 15th in the nation and scored a goal late in the first half and a pair of insurance goals late in the second half.

Lisa Gorski scored the eventual game-winner on a penalty kick with just 1:11 seconds remaining in the first half.

The Flyers were able to hold steady for 35 minutes in the second half before the Rangers broke through with a score at 81:53. Gorski iced the game at 83:05 with her second goal of the match.

Lewis goalkeeper Courtney Hutt stopped 14 shots to up her season saves total to 67.

Lewis will travel to Quincy Friday, Oct. 8 before hosting SIU Edwardsville on Sunday, Oct. 10.
