Lewis Sweeps Findlay

FINDLAY, Ohio - Jeff Soler tallied a match-high 16 kills and led the Lewis University men's volleyball team to a 30-22, 30-27, 30-11 sweep of conference foe Findlay.

The Flyers (10-10, 6-3 Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) evened their record at .500 with the sweep of the Oilers (12-9, 3-7 MIVA). Lewis combined to hit .474 as a team, while limiting Findlay to a .138 mark.

Soler recorded one of his best hitting performances of the season with a .462 hitting percentage and added four digs in the win. Fabiano Barreto contributed with 10 kills, two aces, three digs and three blocks. Junior Greg Pochopien notched three aces in one game of action as he led a revitalized Flyers' service game.

Lewis is tied with Loyola Chicago for third place in the MIVA and travels to Quincy March 20 for its next match.
