LOUISVILLE, Ky. -
Katie Gilman pounded 22 kills and hit .556 to lead the Lewis University women's volleyball team to a three-game sweep of Bellarmine. The Flyers (14-8, 6-4 Great Lakes Valley Conference) improved their overall series record against the Knights (4-22, 1-11 GLVC) to 28-4 all-time with the 31-29, 30-21, 30-19 victory.
Rory Harrison was the only other Flyer with double-digit kills as she posted 10 kills.
Abby Hodge passed out 37 assists and had seven digs to aid the Flyer cause.
The Flyers sit in third place in the GLVC Green Division and would be seeded fifth if the conference tournament began today. However, all five of Lewis' remaining games are at home where the Flyers are 15-3 in the regular season over the past two years.
Lewis begins its regular-season-ending homestand with a match against Wisconsin-Parkside Wednesday, October 29 at 7 p.m.
