ROMEOVILLE, Ill.-- - For the second time in as many meetings, the Lewis University women's basketball team found itself embroiled in a defensive standoff with Great Lakes Valley Conference foe Indianapolis.

The result wound up the same as the first meeting--a 60-52 Lewis loss in Indianapolis on Dec. 11--as Indianapolis (13-5, 6-5 GLVC) came away with a 65-58 win over the host Flyers (10-9, 7-5 GLVC).

Lewis shot 36.9 percent from the field (24 of 65) and committed 18 turnovers; Indianapolis connected on 37.9 percent of its shots (25 of 66) and committed 19 turnovers.

Indianapolis led 31-23 at halftime and delivered its knockout punch with a 9-0 run over a three-minute span in the second half. The Greyhounds led 50-45 with 7:54 to play before their spurt gave them a 59-45 lead with 4:14 left in the game.

Lewis' Shante Glenn paced the team with her second career double double. The 5-5 guard tallied 17 points and pulled down a game- and career-high 13 rebounds. She also added five assists, a blocked shot and four steals.

Darcee Schmidt and Tameka Harris joined Glenn in double digits scoring 12 points each. Schmidt added five rebounds and a blocked shot, while Harris had three assists.

Two of the GLVC's leading scorers were held in check throughout the game. Lewis' Mary Moskal and Indianapolis' Erin Moran entered the game averaging 17.0 and 15.6 points per game, respectively. Moskal closed the night with two points, was 1 of 4 from the field and did not attempt a free throw. Moran finished with five points and was 2 of 10 from the field.

Lewis will next host Saint Joseph's College at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29.
