Final Stats
QUINCY, Ill.--Lewis junior Lindsay Frederick moved into fourth place on Lewis University's women's soccer single-season saves list after she fended off nine Quincy shots Sunday afternoon.
A 6-0 defeat by Quincy (5-7-2, 2-5-2 Great Lakes Valley Conference) moved Lewis (5-9-2, 2-5-2 GLVC) into a tie for 10th place in the conference with the Hawks. The Hawks scored four goals in the game's first 24 minutes to put the game out of reach early.
"We played great on Friday against SIU Edwardsville--the best team in our conference," said Lewis head coach Bill Bruno. "Unfortunately, we just didn't show up today and Quincy took advantage."
The Hawks outshot Lewis 26-4, including 15-3 in shots on goal.
The Flyers return home for their final home games of the season this weekend. Lewis will face Saint Joseph's (5-8-1, 4-5 GLVC) Friday, Oct. 16 and Indianapolis (7-5, 5-4 GLVC) Sunday, Oct. 18. Game time each day is noon.
