Final Stats
EVANSVILLE, Ind.--Sophomore defender Allison Wilkerson scored her fourth goal of the season in Lewis' season finale against Southern Indiana.
Wilkerson, who has had a knack for finding the back of the net, tallied her sixth career goal in Lewis' 2-1 loss to host Southern Indiana.
Wilkerson's goal answered an early score by the Screaming Eagles. USI's Julie Collins scored her first goal of the season just five minutes into the game. However, Lewis freshman Courtney Kettel found Wilkerson on an indirect kick at 17:41 to knot the game 1-1.
The game remained tied into the second half, when USI (9-7-2, 8-5 Great Lakes Valley Conference) netted the game-winner at 56:31 on a Katie Grossman goal.
Junior goalkeeper Lindsay Frederick registered 10 saves. Frederick lifted her season saves total to a school-record 162. She passed Kim Padovano, who set the previous mark of 158 in 1988.
Lewis concludes its season 6-12-2 overall and 3-8-2 in GLVC play. This was the third straight year that the Flyers have improved their overall and league win totals.
