Final Stats
ROMEOVILLE, Ill.--The Lewis University women's volleyball team received no small order in its final regular-season match of the season as it hosted conference-leading and 20th-ranked Rockhurst.
The host Flyers fell in three sets (21-30, 22-30, 27-30) to the Hawks (26-5, 15-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference), who are in their first season of GLVC play. Rockhurst competed in the Heartland Conference prior to this season.
Lewis (17-12, 9-7 GLVC) finishes regular-season play in sixth place in the GLVC.
Middle hitter Rebecca Lisle paced the team with 10 kills and two blocks. Theresa Nugent and Sylvia Ciezak each tallied nine kills. Abby Hodge had a match-high 22 digs.
Rockhurst outhit Lewis .228-.109 and held an edge in blocks 8-3.
The Hawks were led by sophomore Rachel Fowler, who had a match-high 13 kills and four blocks. Karla Schroff added 11 kills and four blocks. Four players had at least 10 digs.
As the top team in the GLVC, Rockhurst will host the conference tournament Nov. 10-12. Lewis will face No. 3-seed Northern Kentucky Thursday, Nov. 10, in Kansas City.
