ROMEOVILLE -
Lewis right-hander Adam Stabosz pitched 6 1/3 strong innings in the nightcap of Tuesday's doubleheader, but Indianapolis scored two 10th-inning runs for a 3-1 victory and a sweep of the Great Lakes Valley Conference twinbill.
Indianapolis won the opener 6-0 behind the one-hit pitching of Tony Payne.
Stabosz scattered five hits and did not walk a batter. Jon Crettol (0-3), who relieved Stabosz in the seventh and ended an Indy rally by getting a double-play ball on his first pitch, lasted three innings but suffered the loss.
Greyhound reliever Keith Hatfield (4-0) gave just two hits in three innings and picked up the win. Starter Kyle Frangiamore allowed one unearned run, three hits and one walk in seven innings of work.
Darryl Jenkins was 2-for-4 for the Flyers (3-21, 2-14 GLVC), and Brandon Niewinski had a double.
In the seven-inning opener, Billy Duffy (Clarendon Hills, Ill./Hinsdale Central)'s sixth-inning infield single was the only hit off Payne (1-1), who walked two. Ryan Duran (0-3) took the loss.
Indianapolis improved to 13-9 overall and 10-9 in the GLVC.
The Flyers return to action Saturday when they host Bellarmine in a GLVC doubleheader that begins at noon.
