Caitlin Kelly and Jenna Volpi each tallied goals for Lewis in a 3-2 overtime loss to Kentucky Wesleyan, Sunday afternoon in Great Lakes Valley Conference action at the Lewis Soccer Field.
Both of the Flyers goals came in the first half, as Kelly found the back of the net at 6:15, and Volpi took a pass from Erin Beddows and blasted a high shot into the top left corner at 18:32.
Kentucky Wesleyan made the score to the score 2-1 before the half ended as Nora Karvonen, with an assist from Kristen Chinn, scored at 20:44.
The Panthers added the equalizer at 59:33 when a Chinn sent a corner kick into a crowd and the ball deflected off a Lewis player into the net.
Karvonen added the game-winner at 92:32 of overtime when she and Lewis keeper Lindsey Frederick got tangled up going for a loose ball. The ball squirted free and Karvonen was able to get to her feet and poke it home.
Panthers' goalkeeper Mallory Carver made six saves, while Frederick stopped five balls.
Kentucky Wesleyan amassed 19 fouls, including 14 in what became a physical second half. The Flyers had eight fouls, with seven called in the second half.
The Flyers (1-3-0, 0-2-0 GLVC) look to get back in the win column on Wednesday when they host Grand Valley State at 4:00 p.m.
