Junior Bethanee Taylor scored her fourth goal of the season, but Lewis fell to Rockhurst 3-1 Sunday afternoon in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game.
Rockhurst's Lindsay Ewert scored the game's first goal at 16:09 unassisted from 20 yards out.
Rockhurst added another goal at 17:00 on an unassisted goal by Lisa Schwarz from the left side.
The Hawks scored their final goal at 35:55 on a free kick by Sarah Anderson. Erin Valenta registered the assist on the score by tapping the ball so Anderson could drive a shot into the right side around the Flyers' wall.
Lewis' score came at 68:00 on a header by Taylor. Freshman Jessica Summers-Hernandez earned the assist from her perfect corner kick that found Taylor open in space on the right side. Taylor did the rest, heading it just inside the right goalpost.
It was the third assist of the season for Summers-Hernandez. The freshman has nine points on the season.
Junior Courtney Kettel registered three shots on goal.
Freshman Megan George recorded eight saves for the Flyers.
Rockhurst registered 11 shots on goal to Lewis' seven. Lewis held a 6-5 edge in corner kicks.
Rockhurst improved to 10-4-1 (7-4-0 GLVC) while Lewis fell to 5-10-1 (3-9-1 GLVC).
Lewis celebrated senior day on Sunday, honoring seniors Allison Wilkerson and Sarah Lyons.
The Flyers play their final GLVC contest of the season on Thursday when they host Wisconsin-Parkside at 1:30 p.m.
