MIDLAND, Mich. - Senior Stephan Bolt led all players with 22 rebounds and 21 points, setting a career high on the boards, as Lewis ran away from Northwood 79-63, Saturday evening in a non-conference game.

Bolt's rebound total eclipsed his previous career best of 19 set last season. The 22-rebound effort also was the highest single-game total by any player in the Great Lakes Valley Conference this season.

Bolt was one of two Flyers to record a double-double in the game and one of four Flyers to score in double figures.

Junior Jason Genova scored 15 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for his first double-double as a Flyer. Junior Brandon Dagans added 15 points, and junior Ryan Sharp totaled a season-best 12 points.

After running out to an 8-0 lead in the game's first two minutes, Northwood's offense went ice-cold. The Timberwolves made just one of their next 12 shots from the field, and Lewis took advantage by outscoring Northwood 15-3 over the next eight minutes.

A 3-pointer by Bolt at 12:43 tied the game at 11, and a Dagans' layup at 11:58 gave Lewis its first lead of the night. Northwood got as close as two points of the Flyers in the remaining minutes of the first, but Lewis never lost the lead and by halftime the Flyers had increased their advantage to eight points.

A 7-2 spurt by Northwood in the first two minutes of the second half saw Lewis' lead dwindle to three points, but Dagans quickly put the Flyers back up by six when he drew contact on a layup for a three-point play. Bolt gave Lewis its first double-digit lead of the night with a jumper in the paint with 11:50 to play, and the Flyers maintained a sizable advantage the rest of the way.

The Flyers shot 54.9 percent for the game, compared to 31.3 percent by the Timberwolves. Lewis was 15-for-26 at the free throw stripe, while limiting the Timberwolves to seven points at the line. Lewis' 47 rebounds was a season high. Northwood had 33 boards.

The Flyers (8-2) return to action on Thursday, when they host GLVC foe Saint Joseph's.
