Flyers Fall In Four

RIVERSIDE, Calif. - For a second consecutive match, Mykolai Zerebeckyj reached double digits in digs, but a sub-par hitting performance up and down the Lewis lineup left the Flyers on the short end of a 3-1 (30-21, 25-30, 30-26, 30-19) decision to California Baptist Friday evening in non-conference play.

The Flyers (12-7) received 13 kills each from Jared Dayton and David Kelnhofer. For Kelnhofer, it was a third straight double-digit kill outing. Drew Pickering added nine kills and five digs.

Billy Sahagian (1BS-5BA), Alex Vigansky (1BS-4BA) and Pickering (4BA) helped the Flyers total 13 blocks for the match.

Sun Yukai led the Lancers with a match-best 17 kills. Urs Gunthor added 13 successful attacks.

Lewis held the Lancers to a .000 hitting percentage in game two, but the Flyers were held to a .032 percentage for the match.

The Flyers play at Loyola Chicago on March 13.
