SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Lewis University baseball team reached double figures in hits for a second consecutive game, but it wasn't enough as Drury claimed a 14-3 Great Lakes Valley Conference decision over the Flyers Sunday afternoon.

Bryan Druktenis enjoyed a second straight three-hit outing (3-for-5). Billy Duffy, Mike Smith and Ryan Duran collected two hits apiece in Lewis' 10-hit attack.

The Flyers (5-37, 4-26 GLVC) grabbed a 1-0 first-inning lead when Smith doubled home Druktenis, who had singled with one out and moved to second when Duffy was hit by a pitch.

Lewis plated its second run in the third inning on consecutive one-out singles by Duffy, Smith and Duran. The Flyers scored their final tally in the fourth when, after the first two batters were retired, Chris Brigham walked, advanced to second on a Druktenis single and scored on a Duffy single.

Reliever Matt Andrzejewski tossed 2 2/3 innings of one-hit scoreless ball, and Chris Williams pitched a perfect eighth inning.

Lewis hosts Quincy on Wednesday in a GLVC doubleheader that starts at 1 p.m.
