HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Lewis lost to Northern Kentucky 3-0 in the Flyers' conference opener. The Flyers fell to 2-2 and 0-1 in the GLVC. Northern Kentucky improved to 4-0 and 1-0 in the GLVC.

Kendall Day got the Norse on the board early with a goal at 6:12 from Lauren Franzen. Jayme Light scored her fourth goal of the season at 26:26 (assisted by Katie Guinn) to give Northern Kentucky a 2-0 advantage at half. Light recorded three shots on goal.

The Norse started the second half with a Lauren Franzen goal at 46:21, her fourth of the season, assisted by Brandi Doss.

For the Flyers, freshman Jessica Summers-Hernandez recorded two shots and one on goal. Sophomore Amy Foran had one shot. Freshman Andrea Iossi notched nine saves.

The Flyers play on Sunday at conference foe Bellarmine at noon.
