ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Three Flyers scored in double-digits as Lewis defeated Missouri-St. Louis 81-69 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference game on Thursday evening.

Sophomore Kaci Baird and junior Kelly Dianis each scored 11 for the Flyers. Defensively Dianis notched five steals, tieing a career high. Freshman Kady Currin also added a career-high 11 points. Six of Barid's points came from the line. Junior Lauren Martens in her first game back from an injury added eight points in 15 minutes of action.

The Flyers led the entire game, taking their largest lead at 22 with 8:10 remaining in the game on a 3-pionter by freshman Kelly Monaco. Monaco finished with nine points. Lewis held a 42-26 advantage at halftime thanks in part to a balanced offense to start the game. At the break nine different Flyers had scored points. Dianis notched nine in the first half including a clutch 4-point play with 3:36 remaining in the first half to stretch the Flyers lead to 14. The Flyers shot 19 free throws in the first half compared to the Tritons' six.

Lewis outscored the Tritons 21-10 on second chance points, holding a 38-32 rebounding advantage, including a 15-10 edge on the offensive end. The Flyers shot 42.4 percent for the game while the Tritons shot 38.8.

For the Tritons, Courtney Watts scored a game-high 23 points, connecting on four 3-pointers.

Lewis' 81 points marked their season high. The Flyers improved to 8-5 (4-2 GLVC) while the Tritons fell to 4-9 (2-4 GLVC).

Lewis hosts Missouri S&T on Saturday at 1 p.m.
