Senior Stephan Bolt shot 7-for-9 from the field and 8-for-9 at the free throw line to total a game-high 22 points and lead Lewis to a 78-54 win over Missouri S&T, Saturday afternoon in conference play.
The Flyers (13-3, 6-2) won by double digits for a third straight game and remained unbeaten (7-0) at home.
Bolt supplemented his point total with five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. Junior Brandon Dagans scored 14 points and dished out five assists. Freshman Dennis Thomas Jr., produced his second straight 12-point game.
Juniors Jason Genova and Ryan Sharp each scored six points. Genova added a team-high seven rebounds. Freshman Lonnie Lawrence had five points and five boards.
The Flyers grabbed an early edge in the game, leading 9-2 after four minutes of play, but the Miners stormed back behind a 12-4 push to take a 14-13 lead with 10:47 remaining in the half.
The game was tied 19-19 when Bolt nailed a pair of free throws which put Lewis ahead for good. The Flyers added six more unanswered points following Bolt's free throws to take control.
Missouri S&T clawed back to within five at halftime, but it was all Flyers in the second. Lewis came out from the break and scored the game's next 14 points, getting four each from Bolt, Dagans and Thomas, Jr. and two from Lawrence.
A Dagan's trey at 10:09 put Lewis' advantage over 20 points for good.
The Flyers shot 50.8 percent for the game, compared to 37.5 by the Miners. Like Thursday night, Lewis again dominated from downtown. The Flyers hit 7-of-19 from beyond the arc while the limiting the Miners to just 2-of-11 from 3-point range. The Miners also committed 23 turnovers in the game.
Curtis Mosley's 17 points and eight rebounds led the Miners.
Lewis hits the road for its next three games, beginning with Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday at 3 pm.
