KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Lewis women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at Rockhurst on Sunday afternoon.

Lisa Schwarz scored the first two goals for Rockhurst. She found the back of the net at 13:08, assisted by Abby Davidson and Katie Vogt. It stayed 1-0 through halftime. At 50:52 Schwarz scored again, assisted by Vogt and Amy Lindsey. Rockhurst's Tiffany Mitchell rounded out the scoring at 85:19, she knocked in Schwarz' corner kick.

Rockhust committed 19 fouls to Lewis' 14.

"We can't allow a team to completely set the tempo and decide how physical it is going to be in the first half like they did," head coach Chris Koenig said. "I thought in the second half we challenged things more and were more physical. It was disappointing they scored twice in the second, but I thought it was a better match in the second."

Rockhurst took seven shots in the second half, compared to 15 in the first. 

Sophomore Megan George (Wauseon, Ohio/Wauseon) made a career-high 10 saves. Freshman Amanda Slove (Arlington Heights, Ill./Hersey) had two shots.

"We have it in front of us now," Koenig said. "We are in a position where we have to come home and win two games to give ourselves a chance to get in the tournament."

Rockhurst is now 9-3-3 (6-1-3 Great Lakes Valley Conference). Lewis is 5-9-1 (3-6-0 GLVC).

The Flyers host Missouri-St. Louis on Friday and Southern Indiana on Sunday for Senior Day. Both matches start at 2:30.
