Lewis 77, Olivet Nazarene 70 in PDF Format 
Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis senior guard Brandon Dagans (Harvey, Ill./Thornton) posted a game-high 25 points and eight rebounds to push the host Flyers to the 77-70 non-conference victory over Olivet Nazarene at Neil Carey Arena on Thursday night.
"We found a way to win," Lewis head men's basketball coach Scott Trost said. "People could have looked at this as a trap game, but our guys found a way to win when maybe we weren't at our best."
With the victory, Lewis improves to 6-3 on the season while Olivet Nazarene drops to 7-8 on the campaign.
Lewis senior guard Jason Genova (Chicago, Ill./St. Patrick/Saint Xavier) scored 14 points and knocked down three trifectas on the evening. His second trey was the 189th of his career, breaking the Flyers' all-time school record of 188, held by Rich Aigner (1990-94).
The Flyers' ability to force turnovers proved to be the difference on Thursday night, as Olivet Nazarene turned the ball over 18 times, leading to 34 points for Lewis.
Olivet Nazarene's Rashad Mitchell led the Tigers with 16 points, while teammates Tyler Wallenfang and Cory Hainlen added 15 points in the defeat.
Lewis returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Minnesota to square off with Winona State for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
