Lewis 101, Robert Morris (Springfield) 37 in PDF Format

Romeoville, Ill. - Lewis University freshman guard Chris McClellan (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Wheeling) led five players in double-figures with a season-high 15 points, including three trifectas, to help the host Flyers blow past Robert Morris (Springfield) for the 101-37 non-conference victory at Neil Carey Arena on Monday night.

Lewis senior guard Brandon Dagans (Harvey, Ill./Thornton) added 12 points and a team-high six assists, while freshman forward Justin Jarosz (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) added 11 points and six rebounds off the bench. Freshman center Marty Strus (Hickory Hills, Ill./Stagg) posted a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, 10 of which were offensive, while forward Matt Toth (Orland Park, Ill./Sandburg) added 10 points.

"Our energy was good tonight," Lewis University head men's basketball coach Scott Trost said. "We did a lot of positive things tonight and I'm proud of the way we competed."

With the victory, Lewis improves to 7-4 while the Eagles fall to 2-10.

Robert Morris (Springfield) guard Mareze Weaver led the Eagles with seven points and six rebounds.

For the game, Lewis forced 30 turnovers and scored 43 points off Robert Morris' miscues, while limiting the Eagles to 24.0% (12-for-50) shooting from the field.

Lewis is back in action on Friday as they travel to Missouri to square off with Rockhurst for a 7:45 p.m. tip-off.
