ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Senior Stephan Bolt posted a game-high 22 points, hitting 10-of-14 from the field to pace a Lewis offense which shot near 60 percent in a 63-55 conference win over Quincy, Saturday afternoon at Neil Carey Arena.

The Flyers (16-5, 9-4) had trailed by six points at halftime before outscoring the Hawks 40-26 in the second half.

After Quincy scored the first two points of the second half, Lewis exploded for an 18-1 run over the next seven minutes. Bolt's layup at 16:54 put Lewis up by one, and the Flyers never trailed again, despite a gritty effort from the Hawks to keep things close.

Lewis led by nine for their largest advantage of the game at 13:06, but couldn't put the Hawks away. Quincy hung around for the next several minutes, closing in to within three points on two occasions.

The Flyers held just a four-point lead with a little more than two minutes to play when junior Jason Genova drilled a long three to finally put Lewis in control.

Quincy made a pair of free throws on their next possession, but Lewis answered with a two-handed slam from Bolt on the other end. Genova added a layup following a Quincy miss, and junior Brandon Dagans added four free throws in the final minute to help preserve the Flyers' win.

Bolt added a team-best seven rebounds, one steal and one block to his double-digit point total. Genova finished with 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Freshman Dennis Thomas, Jr. scored 11 points and dished out a career-high eight assists, including the quick feed to Bolt for the dunk near the end of the game.

Lewis shot 65 percent from the floor in the second half, while limiting the Hawks to a 38.5 percent effort.

Lewis hosts Wisconsin-Parkside on Tuesday at 7:45 p.m.
