Lewis Routs Thomas Moore

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Every Flyer scored a run in Lewis' 13-3 victory over Thomas Moore on Tuesday afternoon. After Thomas Moore plated one in the first, the Flyers scored 12 in the bottom of the second to open up an 11 run lead. Thomas Moore added one in the fourth and sixth. The game was originally scheduled for nine innings, but was called after seven due to the Flyers' 10-run advantage.

The Flyers' recorded 16 hits on the day.

Lewis had six players with multiple hits. Sophomore Ryan McManaman had three hits and scored two runs. Freshman Mike Vucsko was 2-for-6 with 3 RBI. Senior Billy Duffy was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Both Duffy and Vucsko scored a run. Senior Bryan Druktenis scored two runs and hit two doubles. Sophomore Joe Carbone and freshman Richard Forkin were both 2-for-3. Carbone had a run scored and an RBI. Forkin had two runs scored and two RBI in the Flyers' big second inning. He also had the lone RBI in the fifth.

Junior Ryan Reynolds was 0-for-3 but scored a run and had an RBI. Junior Chris McCall continued his hot start, going 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Senior Mike Smith went 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored.

On the mound freshman Charles Gille earned his first collegiate win, allowing only six hits and one earned run in six innings. He struck out five and walked one. Junior Chris Brigham threw a scoreless seventh.

The Flyers moved to 2-3 and play Assumption tomorrow morning.
