ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - Freshman Sarah Hurley went 3-for-4 with a double and her first career home run, as the No. 7 Flyers run-ruled Drury 11-3, in game two of a GLVC doubleheader on Sunday afternoon. The Panthers topped the Flyers 3-0 in the first game.

Hurley was one of four Flyers with multiple hits in the game-two win. She hit her double in the first inning and later scored on a sacrifice fly by senior Carla Musillo. Hurley belted her homer, a two-run shot, the very next inning to give the Flyers a 5-0 lead after two.

Senior Mallory Paine was 2-for-3 in the game, collecting the Flyers' game-winning RBI in the fifth with a single up the middle. Junior Kelly Dianis and freshman Stephanie Trapp also went 2-for-3. Senior Ashley LeGrand and sophomore Kara Harmatys collected RBI hits in the game.

The Flyers scored three unearned runs in the third to grab an 8-0 lead, but Drury put up a three-spot in the top of the fifth to prevent the run rule, albeit temporarily.

Lewis rallied in the bottom of the fifth to end the game. Harmatys' RBI-single scored the first run. Hurley singled in another run, and Paine's hard-hit single ended it.

Freshman Stephanie Harmon had two of the Flyers' six hits in the first game, but the Flyers stranded eight runners and were unable to score against Drury's Brittany Davis (10-17).

Lewis finished the regular season 36-14 (20-4). The Flyers reached 20 conference wins for only the second time in program history. Lewis is the No. 1 seed for the upcoming GLVC Tournament and will face eight-seed Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday at Noon in Peoria, Ill. The Flyers are 3-0 this season against the Rangers.
