Springfield, Mo. - Despite dropping a 9-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference decision against No. 26 Drury on Saturday morning, Lewis University head women's tennis coach Brett Bridel was still pleased with the performance of his squad against the Panthers.
"We actually played some of our best tennis this season today and they just beat us," Bridel said. "We need to bring this effort and commitment to every match the rest of the season."
With the win, Drury improves to 15-4 on the season and 10-0 in GLVC action, while the visiting Flyers fall to 9-9 overall and 3-4 in conference play.
Lewis returns to the court on Friday, as they host GLVC foe Quincy for a 2 p.m. first serve at the Lewis Tennis Courts.
