Beddows' tally came unassisted at the 66:26 mark when she found the back of the net off a restart.

"The players knew how big of a game this was and we as a team didn't rise to the challenge," head coach Chris Koenig said. "We didn't step up and because of that some reserves came in the second half and if they give us a chance to be competitive they will see more time."
Missouri S&T is now 1-2-1 (1-1-0 GLVC). Lewis falls to 1-3-1 (0-2-0). The Flyers go for their first conference victory of the season on Sunday at Maryville.
"The players understand how important Sunday is and we will see how much character the team has," Koenig said. "There is a big difference between 1-2 and 0-3 ."
