Indianapolis, Ind. - Lewis University forwards Aloiso Barros (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/Colegio Pampulha/Marshalltown C.C.) and Armin Vrebac (Loves Park, Ill./Harlem) each found the back of the net as the visiting Flyers claimed the 2-0 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over Indianapolis, their fifth-straight win, at Key Stadium on Friday (Oct. 1) night.

The Flyers peppered UIndy goalkeeper Justin Roberts with 11 shots, nine of which were on goal.

"It's always nice to get the clean sheet," Lewis head men's soccer coach Evan Fiffles said. "It's tough to win on the road on a Friday night in a hostile environment.

"I thought we were outplayed in the first half, but we played better in the second half," Fiffles continued. "I thought Indy was the best team we've seen all year, but they just had some difficulty in the final third."

With the victory, Lewis improves to 6-3 overall and 6-2 in conference play, while the Greyhounds drop to 4-4 on the campaign and 4-3 in conference action.

Barros put the Flyers on the board in the sixth minute, as he collected a loose ball off of a UIndy miscue in front of the net to give Lewis the 1-0 advantage heading into halftime.

Vrebac added to the Flyers' lead in the second-half, as the senior beat Roberts off of a free kick into the top right of the net at the 53:58 mark. That goal marked Vrebac's second score in as many contests.

Lewis sophomore goalkeeper Sebastian Kieruzal (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) made three saves to claim the shutout victory.

Lewis is back in action on Sunday (Oct. 3), as the Flyers head to Highland Heights, Kentucky to square off with No. 4 ranked Northern Kentucky for an 11 AM (CST) first kick.
