Houghton, Mich. - The Lewis University women's tennis team opened the 2010 Spring campaign in fine fashion, as the Flyers, behind two wins from sophomore Katie Hargrove (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon), claimed the 6-3 non-conference victory over Lake Superior State on Saturday (Feb. 13) afternoon.

With the victory, Lewis improves to 2-0 overall, while Lake Superior State falls to 6-10 on the campaign.
Hargrove paired up with Clare Kessler (Onalaska, Wis./Aquinas) at No. 2 doubles for the 8-6 win over Katie Watchorn and Anais Molina-Rodriguez. The O'Fallon, Ill., native would later claim a 6-3, 6-3 win over Carolyn Pumford at No. 3 singles.
