Grandville, Mich. - In just their sixth dual match of the season, the Lewis University men's tennis team has already equaled their win total from 2009, as the Flyers upset Grand Valley State, the Midwest Region's No. 5 ranked team, 6-3, at the Ramblewood Tennis and Health Club on Sunday (Feb. 21) afternoon.
"We continued our great doubles play today," Lewis assistant head coach Slavko Radman said. "Our top part of the lineup performed well, as usual, but the difference in the win was that the bottom half of the lineup contributed as well."
With the victory, Lewis improves to 4-2 on the season, while the Lakers drop to 1-2 overall.
