ST. LOUIS – Senior
Madeline Kish (Oak Forest, Ill./Sandburg) (Oak Forest, Ill./Sandburg/Eastern Illinois) had a game-high 16 points in Lewis women's basketball's 66-49 Great Lakes Valley Conference loss at Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday afternoon.
UMSL began to pull away late in the first half. The score was tied at 21 with 3:48 remaining when UMSL scored the game's next seven points. The Flyers cut the Tritons' lead to two points with under a minute remaining but a pair of UMSL baskets in the final 42 seconds of the half stretched Lewis' halftime deficit to six points. The Flyers would get no closer in the second half.

Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) added six points, five rebounds and four steals. Junior
Hannah Koeneman (New Haven, Ind./Woodlan) (New Haven, Ind./Woodlan) added six points off the bench.
UMSL shot 21-of-29 from the free throw line while Lewis converted 14-of-27 chances at the charity stripe.
UMSL improves to 6-6 (1-3 GLVC). The Flyers fall to 3-9 (1-3 GLVC). Lewis is back in action on Thursday against Quincy at 5:30 p.m. The contest is the first of three consecutive home games for the Flyers.
