Indianapolis, Ind. - The Lewis University men's soccer team only recorded one shot on goal against Indianapolis in their Great Lakes Valley Conference showdown on Sunday (Oct. 21), but they sure made it count.

With the win, Lewis improves to 8-8 overall and 8-6 in conference play, while the host Greyhounds are now 7-8-2 on the season and 6-6-2 in GLVC action. The victory is Lewis' sixth 1-0 win of the season.
Lewis goalkeeper
Sebastian Kieruzal (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Hoffman Estates) made five saves in between the pipes to earn his second-straight shutout in as many contests.
UIndy outshot the Flyers on the afternoon, recording 16 attempts to Lewis' seven. The Greyhounds also managed five shots on goal.
"It was a good playoff-like atmosphere," Lewis head men's soccer coach
Evan Fiffles said. "Both of our seasons were on the line and we scored in the first half with the wind and we had to hold on.
"I thought Sebastian (Kieruzal) came up with some big saves and we needed to play well on the road to beat a good team like Indianapolis today."
Lewis wraps up the regular-season on Wednesday (Oct. 24), as they head to Kenosha to square off with UW-Parkside for a 1:15 PM first kick.
