The Lewis University men's basketball team meets their second nationally-ranked team this month, as the Flyers (9-4, 3-2 GLVC) head to Louisville, Ky., to square off with No. 12 Bellarmine (11-2, 3-2 GLVC). Tip-off is set for 3 PM at Knights Hall.
Live stats, audio and video streaming of Saturday's game - provided by Bellarmine - can be found at www.LewisFlyers.com.

LAST TIME OUT - Lewis shot 72.0% (18-for-25) from the field and held McKendree to 23 points in the second-half on their way to the 82-61 win over the Bearcats on Thursday (Jan. 17) night. Sophomore guard Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) topped the Flyers with 17 points and seven rebounds.

ALL-TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold a 37-26 advantage over Bellarmine in their all-time series.

LAST TIME WE MET - Bellarmine received a combined 55 points from Luke Sprague (19 points), Jeremy Kendle (23 points) and Chris Dowe (13 points) to claim the 66-57 win over Lewis in the NCAA Midwest Regional First Round contest on March 10, 2012.

BEAT BELLARMINE - Bellarmine has defeated Lewis in each of their last four contests at Knights Hall. Lewis' last win came on February 2, 2008, as junior forward Jason Genova (Chicago, Ill./St. Patrick) went 11-for-16 from the field, including five three-pointers, to finish with a game-high 27 points in the 77-67 win over the Knights.

TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK - Lewis has had four games of less than 10 turnovers this season. The last time the Flyers accomplished that feat five times came during the 2008-09 campaign.

IRON MAN - Lewis senior guard David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) has played in all 102 possible games for the Flyers in four seasons.

CRASHING THE BOARDS - Freshman forward Kyle Nelson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) is second on the team in rebounding with 4.8 caroms-per-game. He also has more offensive (33) than defensive (29) rebounds this season.

YOUNG GUNS - Lewis is the youngest team in the GLVC, as the Flyers have just two active upperclassmen on the roster and three total upperclassmen on the team. Quincy is next youngest squad with three active upperclassmen.

GO AS HE GOES - Lewis sophomore guard Jeff Jarosz (Lyons, Ill./Morton) is averaging 13.2 points and shooting 60.3% (41-for-68) from the field in the Flyers' nine wins this season. In the four contests that the Flyers have lost, Jarosz is averaging 5.3 points-per-game and shooting 35.7% (10-for-28).

MOVING UP THE CHARTS - Lewis head men's basketball coach Scott Trost (111-78) needs two more wins to pass former Lewis head basketball coach and Director of Athletics Paul Ruddy (112-75) for fourth in school-history for career victories.

HONORING HIS BROTHER - Bryant wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS - Lewis has held four opponents to under 50 points this season. The last time the Flyers held more than four teams to under 50 points, came during the 1985-86 campaign, when they did it six times.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS (PART DEUX) - Lewis is holding its opponents to 60.3 points-per-game, which is tops in the GLVC and 14th overall in the country (as of January 13th).

BLOCK PARTY - Nelson currently leads the GLVC in blocked shots (22). The St. Charles, Ill., native needs 11 more swats to break into Lewis' top 10 for blocked shots in a single season.

BIG WIN - Lewis' 35-point victory over Rockhurst on January 12th is the second time the Flyers have won by 35+ points this season. The last time they accomplished that feat three times came during the 2002-03 campaign.

REBOUNDING ADVANTAGE - Lewis is 36-8 during Trost's tenure when they out-rebound their opponents by 10 or more.
