Romeoville, Ill. - No. 13 Bellarmine, led by Keisten Jones (31 points) and Chris Dowe (20 points), converted 14 three-pointers on their way to the 78-56 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over the Lewis University men's basketball team at Neil Carey Arena on Thursday (Feb. 14) night.
Jones made 11-for-17 of his shots, including 7-for-11 from beyond the three-point line, while Dowe was 8-for-15 from the field, dropping three trifectas in the process. The Knights also received 12 points from junior guard Vance Hall (2 three-pointers) and 10 rebounds from senior guard Jelani Johnson.
With the victory, Bellarmine improves to 18-4 overall and 10-4 in conference play, while the host Flyers fall to 14-8 on the campaign and 8-6 in GLVC action.

Nick Valla (Tinley Park, Ill./Marist) (Tinley Park, Ill./Marist) came off the bench to score 11 points.
The game was close for 25 minutes, as Bellarmine held a narrow 42-39 advantage over the Flyers with 14:27 remaining in the contest. The Knights, however, went on a 31-9 run, led by a combined 23 points and three trifectas from Jones (13 points, two three-pointers) and Dowe (10 points, three-pointer) to cruise to the victory.
Offensively, the Flyers struggled, as they shot 38.0% (19-for-50) from the field on their way to a season-low 56 points. Bellarmine shot 43.8% (14-for-32) from three-point range and out-rebounded the Flyers, 39-26, including a 14-5 advantage on the offensive glass.
"We didn't play very well on both ends tonight," Lewis head men's basketball coach
Scott Trost said. "Offensively we had a hard time scoring and defensively, we couldn't stop them.
"Bellarmine shot the ball extremely well," Trost continued. "Give them credit, they're nationally ranked for a reason."
Lewis returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 16), as the Flyers welcome McKendree to Neil Carey Arena for a 7:30 PM tip-off. The game will be broadcast live on Lakeshore Public Television. Lakeshore PTV can be viewed over the air and on satellite through DirecTV and Dish Network on Channel 56, on cable channel 17 in most Northwest Indiana communities, and on 18 and 21 in Chicago and its suburbs.
