Romeoville, Ill. -
The Lewis University men's basketball team looks to avenge an early-season loss to Indianapolis, as the Flyers (15-8, 9-6 GLVC) host the Greyhounds (17-6, 9-6 GLVC) on Thursday (Feb. 21) night. Tip-off is set for 7:45 PM at Neil Carey Arena.
Live stats, audio and video streaming of Thursday's game can be found at www.LewisFlyers.com. Thursday's contest can also be heard on WJOL (1340 AM) with Mark Vasko providing the play-by-play action for the Lewis Sports Network. The game will also be broadcast on WLRA (88.1 FM) with Jesse Hardacre and Scott Turek on the call.

LAST TIME OUT - Lewis rallied from a four-point, halftime deficit, outscoring McKendree 46-22 in the final stanza to earn the 76-56 GLVC win over the visiting Bearcats on Saturday (Feb. 21) night. Flyer sophomore guard Ryan Jackson (Bolingbrook, Ill./Riverside-Brookfield) posted a team-high 19 points.

ALL-TIME SERIES - Since Lewis entered the Division II ranks, the Flyers hold a 38-29 advantage over Indianapolis in their all-time series.

LAST TIME WE MET - Lewis was unable to overcome a season-high 18 turnovers, as No. 15 Indianapolis scored 23 points off of the Flyer miscues on their way to the 71-64 win at Nicoson Hall on January 31, 2013.

TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK - Lewis has had nine games of less than 10 turnovers this season. That's the most by a Flyer squad since they had 10 of those contests during the 2003-04 campaign.

TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK (PART DEUX) - Lewis currently has more assists (280) than turnovers (259) - which hasn't happened since the 2009-10 campaign.

REBOUNDING ADVANTAGE - Lewis is 38-8 (.826) during head men's basketball coach Scott Trost's tenure when they out-rebound their opponents by 10 or more.

IRON MAN - Lewis senior guard David Bryant (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) has played in all 112 possible games for the Flyers in four seasons.

FROM WAY DOWNTOWN - Dating back to last season, Bryant has hit at least one three-pointer in each of his last 24 contests.

YOUNG GUNS - Lewis is the youngest team in the GLVC, as the Flyers have just two active upperclassmen on the roster and three total upperclassmen on the team. Quincy is next youngest squad with three active upperclassmen.

HONORING HIS BROTHER - Bryant wears the number 12 in honor of his late brother Kevin who played for Trost at Illinois Wesleyan from 2004-06.

BIG WIN - Lewis' 35-point victory over Rockhurst on January 12, 2013 is the second time the Flyers have won by 35+ points this season. The last time they accomplished that feat three times came during the 2002-03 campaign.

LESS IS MORE - Lewis is 8-3 when Jackson scores 10 or fewer points during his career.

FOR CONTINUITY SAKE - Only six players have started at least one game for Lewis this season, giving the Flyers the fewest starting line-up combinations in the GLVC.

BLOCK PARTY - Freshman forward Kyle Nelson (St. Charles, Ill./St. Charles North) currently leads the GLVC in blocked shots (38), which ties him for seventh in Lewis history for blocks for a season.  The St. Charles, Ill., native needs nine more swats to pass Austin Real (2001-02) and move into sole possession of sixth-place in school history.

DEFENSIVE CLAMPS - Lewis has held five opponents to under 50 points this season. The last time the Flyers held more than five teams to under 50 points, came during the 1985-86 campaign, when they did it six times.

DEAD EYE - Over the past 10 contests, Lewis is shooting 83.4% (151-for-181) from the free throw line. Prior to that game, Lewis made just 67.3% (177-for-263) of its charity tosses.

THE LAST TIME...- Following the Flyers' sweep of Southern Indiana (Feb. 7) and Kentucky Wesleyan (Feb. 9), Lewis has now defeated three nationally-ranked teams this season. The last time the Flyers beat four ranked teams was during the 1981-82 campaign.

200 CLUB - Thursday night will be Trost's 200th career game on the Flyer sidelines.

BONUS BASKETBALL - The last two meetings between Lewis and Indianapolis in Romeoville have gone to overtime, with both teams earning one victory.

DOUBLE-DIGITS - A win over Indianapolis would give Lewis 10 wins in GLVC play, which the Flyers have not accomplished since the 2008-09 campaign.

CLOSE CALLS - Lewis is 4-4 in games decided by five points or less this season.
