Alexis Davito (Crest Hill, Ill./Lockport)'s 10 kills on 17 swings with no errors for a .588 hitting percentage. Sophomore
Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) added eight kills while sophomore
Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) had seven kills and six digs in two sets of work.
Set one was an easy win for the Flyers as Saint Joseph's scored consecutive points on only two occasions. In the second and third, Lewis made key points down the stretch in both frames to get the victories. In set two, Seliga and Kroeker combined for a block on set point. On match point in set three, Seliga delivered a kill to keep the Pumas from tying the score and continuing the match.
The Flyers are now 13-1 (5-0 GLVC). Saint Joseph's is 5-7 (0-5 GLVC).
Lewis is back in action on Saturday with a pair of matches. First up is a non-conference contest with Kentucky State at 11 a.m. at Neil Carey Arena. Lewis then continues GLVC play at 2 p.m. against Indianapolis.
