Somers, Wis. - The UW-Parkside men's soccer team scored twice in each half as the host Rangers earned the 4-2 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over Lewis University at Wood Road Soccer Field on Wednesday (Oct. 26) afternoon.
UW-Parkside's Leki Prpa recorded two goals and an assist to pace the Ranger offense in the win.
With the win, UW-Parkside improves to 6-8-3 overall and 4-8-3 in GLVC action, while the Flyers end the 2016 campaign with a mark of 6-11 overall and 5-10 in conference play.
Lewis freshmen midfielders
Claude Kameni (Berlin, Germany/OSZ Gesundheit) and
John Horstman (Godfrey, Ill./Marquette Catholic) accounted for both Flyer scores. Kameni found the back of the net with 40 seconds left in the first half, while Horstman scored in the 89th minute.
Lewis outshot UW-Parkside, 12-10, but the Rangers held a 7-6 advantage in shots on goal.
