Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 13 Lewis University women's volleyball team extended its winning streak to eight matches with the 25-20, 22-25, 25-14, 25-21 Great Lakes Valley Conference victory over UW-Parkside at Neil Carey Arena on Tuesday (Oct. 4) night.
With the win, Lewis improves to 13-3 overall and 7-0 in GLVC action, while the visiting Rangers fall to 6-11 on the campaign and 4-3 in conference play.
Lewis freshman outside hitter
Alexandra Preuss (Elmhurst, Ill./York) collected a match-high 14 kills and hit .417 (14-4-24), while junior middle hitter
Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) was nearly flawless with 13 kills and a hitting percentage of .571 (13-1-21).
The Flyers received double-doubles from both sophomore outside hitter
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) and redshirt sophomore setter
Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls). Hyland had 10 kills and a team-best 13 digs, while Becker pitched in 43 assists and 11 digs.

Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) had a team-best 13 digs, while redshirt junior right side
Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) garnered nine kills and 11 digs.Â
Lewis returns to action on Friday (Oct. 7), as the Flyers head to Louisville for a 7 PM ET showdown with Bellarmine.
