Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 15 Lewis University women's volleyball team clinched the Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division title with the 25-18, 25-14, 25-22 sweep over Saint Joseph's at Neil Carey Arena on Saturday (Nov. 12) afternoon.
Lewis middle hitters
Danica Schreck (Menasha, Wis./Neenah) and
Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) combined for 19 kills and a hitting percentage of .580 (19 kills, 1 error, 31 attacks). Schreck had a match and career-high 11 kills and hit .733 (11-0-15), while Schneider pitched in eight kills and hit .438 (8-1-16).
With the win, Lewis extends its winning streak to eight matches and improves to 24-6 on the season and 17-1 in GLVC action. The Pumas finish the 2016 campaign with a mark of 7-23 overall and 3-15 in conference play.

Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) had a match-high 22 digs, while sophomore outside hitter
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) had 18 digs. Lewis redshirt sophomore setter
Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) dished out 36 assists in the victory.
The Flyers head to East Peoria, Ill., on Friday (Nov. 18) against a yet-to-be determined opponent in the opening day of the 2016 GLVC Championship Tournament.
