Box Score Romeoville, Ill. - Saturday (Dec. 3) the Lewis University women's basketball team defeated the University of Indianapolis behind great all-around team play.
Sophomore
Jessica Kelliher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) continues to perform well on offense, she put up 12 points for the game and grabbed a total of 8 rebounds.
Kayla Brewer (Milwaukee, Wis./Milwaukee School of Languages) had a good game ending it with 10 points on 50 percent shooting.
Freshmen
Rachel Hinders (Johnston, Iowa/Johnston) also played well scoring 14 points on 6-for-8 shooting. Redshirt senior
Jamie Johnson (South Holland, Ill./Marian Catholic) scored 14, and on the defensive end had 3 steals.
The Flyers as a team shot 47.9 percent from the field and assisted on 14 baskets, while UIndy only shot 29.1 percent and had only 6 assists for the game.
Lewis extends it's win streak to seven after the victory moving to 8-1 on the season and 2-0 within the GLVC. The Greyhounds move to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
The Flyers keep their home campaign going when they return to Neil Carey Arena Wednesday (Dec. 7), to play St. Francis (IL). Tip off is at 5:30 PM.
