Romeoville, Ill. - The No. 18 Lewis University women's volleyball team added another victory over a Top Five team in No. 4 Southwest Minnesota State (3-1) and swept Central Washington on its way to an undefeated weekend at the Flyer Festival at Neil Carey Arena on Saturday (Sept. 3).
  Lewis bested SMSU (22-25, 27-25 25-22, 25-19) and took three-straight from Central Washington (25-15, 25-18, 25-18). On Thursday night, Lewis swept No. 3 Palm Beach Atlantic.
  With the two victories, Lewis improves to 4-0 on the season.
  The Flyers are back in action on Friday (Sept. 9) as they take on both St. Leo (3:30 PM MT) and Concordia St. Paul (7 PM MT) in opening day action at the Colorado Premier Challenge, hosted by Metro State.

  Lewis had three players record double-digit kills and three collect double-doubles to help the Flyers rally from an opening set loss to the Mustangs.
  Sophomore outside hitter
Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) collected a team-best 20 kills and 13 digs in the win, while junior middle hitter
Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) hit .464 (14-1-28) to finish with 14 kills.
  Redshirt junior
Bailey Sparkman (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell) picked up a double-double of 11 kills and 16 digs, while redshirt sophomore setter
Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) totaled 49 assists and 11 digs. Redshirt senior
Nicole Yuede (St. Charles, Mo./Francis Howell North) topped the Flyers with 19 digs.

  The Flyers made short work of the Wildcats, as they hit .333 (46-12-102) as a team in the three-game sweep. Schneider led the Flyers with 14 kills and hit .545 (14-2-22), while redshirt junior
Maddie Seliga (St. Louis, Mo./Nerinx Hall) had 12 kills, five service aces and a hitting percentage of .346 (12-3-26).
  Sparkman had eight kills and a team-high 14 digs for the Flyers.
