Springfield, Mo. - The Lewis University women's soccer team fell at Drury 1-0 Wednesday (Oct. 25) in the final Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season contest of the season at Harrison Stadium.
After a scoreless first half, Drury (7-8-2, 5-8-1 GLVC) scored the game's lone goal 2:15 into the second half on a shot by Kerri Morris, with an assist from Natalie Beck. It was the sixth goal of the season for Morris.
Lewis outshot the Panthers 15-12 and had an 8-1 corner kick advantage in the contest.
Karly Soy (Eldridge, IA/North Scott Senior) and
Mackenzie Fuller (Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) had three shots on goal each for the Flyers.
The Flyers finish the 2017 season with a 6-8-3 record overall and a 4-7-3 mark in the GLVC.
