Springfield, Mo. - The Lewis University men's soccer team ended the regular season with a 0-0 (2 OT) draw against Drury Wednesday (Oct. 25) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match at Harrison Stadium.
Drury outshot Lewis 11-9 for the game, while the Flyers had a 4-2 shots on goal advantage.
Nico Mueller (Braunschweig, Germany/Raabeschule Braunschweig), the reigning GLVC Offensive Player of the Week, led the offensive attack with six shots, two on goal.
Philip Huang (Flossmoor, Ill./Homewood-Flossmoor) picked up his fifth shutout of the season, making two saves in goal.
Lewis finishes the regular season with an 11-4-1 overall record and a 10-3-1 record in the GLVC, while Drury finishes at 7-7-2 overall, 6-6-2 in the GLVC.
The Flyers next game will be Sunday (Oct. 29) as they will host a first round GLVCÂ Tournament contest. The time and opponent has yet to be determined.
