Joliet, Ill. - The Lewis University baseball team dropped a 9-2 decision to St. Francis (Ill.) in the Flyers' road finale at Silver Cross Field on Wednesday (May 3) night.
Lewis designated hitter
Kenny King (Orland Park, Ill./Providence ) went 3-for-5, with a double, while freshmen
Austin Tittle (Lemont, Ill./Lemont) and
Kyle Kane (Westchester, Ill. /Nazareth) each picked up a pair of hits. King and Tittle both scored a run, while Kane recorded the Flyers' lone RBI.
With the win, USF improves to 30-24 on the campaign, while the Flyers fall to 12-34 on the season.
Lewis starting pitcher
Nick Davito (Crest Hill, Ill./Lockport) took the loss for the Flyers. Davito (1-4) allowed five runs and five hits in two innings of work.
Lewis is back in action on Friday (May 5), as they welcome McKendree to Brennan Field for a 12 PM doubleheader.
