ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis' Jessica Kelliher (Waukesha, Wis./Waukesha North) became the all-time leading scorer in the history of the Great Lakes Valley Conference with her 23-point performance in the Flyers (20-2, 11-1 GLVC) 97-54 win over Southern Indiana on Saturday afternoon at Neil Carey Arena.

Kelliher began the day 22 points behind Saint Joseph's College Angie Hupfer (1996-00), who scored 2,510 points in career with the Pumas, for the most points scored in a career.

She tied Hupfer for the top spot with 2:01 left in the third quarter completing an old-fashioned three-point play and then passed her hitting the first of two free throws with 0:56.6 remaining in the quarter.

Kelliher finished the game with 23 points and nine rebounds.

Lewis shot lights in the contest making 34 field goals, including 15 three's. The 15 threes are tied for second most in a game in school history. The Flyers shot 55 percent from the floor, 54 percent from three and 86 percent at the foul line.

They had four players reach double figures in scoring in the contest led by Kelliher. Kaitlyn Williams (Homer Glen, Ill./Joliet Catholic) added 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting from three while Tierney Lockett (Richton Park, Ill./Rich South) added 15 and Gabby Green (Milwaukee, Wis./Pius XI) finished with 14. The six three's for Williams are tied for second most in a single game in school history.

In all, Lewis had 12 players score in the contest.

The Flyers led by six points at the end of the first quarter before putting the game away in the second quarter by outscoring the Screaming Eagles (15-7, 8-4 GLVC) 19-6 in the frame to take a 42-23 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Lewis carried it over opening the third quarter on an 18-5 run to build a 33-point lead four minutes into the frame.

USI never got closer than 28 the rest of the game.

Defensively, the Flyers held the Screagles to 37 percent shooting, but allowed them to shoot 67 percent from three and 75 percent at the foul line. Imani Guy led three players in double digits with 13 points while Alex Davidson and Emma DeHart had 10 points each.

Lewis is back at home on Thursday (Feb. 14) taking on Missouri-St. Louis at 5:30 p.m.
