A look at the Cavaliers: The Cavaliers won the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tournament last Saturday, defeating Kentucky Wesleyan 84-68 to earn the G-MAC's automatic bid. Walsh earned its first conference championship since becoming an NCAA Division II member and is making its first NCAA Tournament appearance. The 25 wins for the Cavaliers are the most wins earned in a season since joining Division II.
Walsh is led in scoring by freshman Quionche Carter who is averaging 16.9 points per game while sophomore Mayci Sales is averaging 11.7 points per contest and leads the team in rebounding with 6.4 per outing. Carter also leads the team in assists with 62 and steals (48).
