The Flyers used an 11-2 run early in the opening set to extend their lead to 15-5. The Bulldogs wouldn't get closer than eight the rest of the set as Lewis cruised to the 25-14 victory.

The middle frame featured three ties and two lead changes. The Flyers led by as many as four in the stanza but Truman fought back to within 22-20 after a service error from Freppon. Lewis was able to close it out though by scoring three of the final four points to win 25-21.
