ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis' men's basketball team hosts McKendree in its home finale for the 2019-20 season on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Neil Carey Arena. The Flyers begin a three-game road trip on Saturday as they travel to Evansville, Ind., to take on Southern Indiana at 3:35 p.m.
Last Time Out – Lewis rallied from an 11-point deficit to defeat Missouri S&T 67-63 and extend its winning streak to three last Saturday.
Dre Bell (Detroit, Mich./River Rouge) finished with a game-high 24 points, 16 coming in the second half, while
Anthony D'Avanzo (Harwood Heights, Ill./Notre Dame) added 15 points and 13 rebounds.
Where They Stand – With two weeks and four games remaining on the 2019-20 regular season slate, Lewis is currently ninth in the GLVC Points Ratings System (PRS), which determines the eight participants as well as seeding for the GLVC Tournament. Showcase Game – Saturday's game is also the NCAA Division II Showcase game as the Flyers and Screaming Eagles will be featured on NCAA.com as well as the GLVC Sports Network and NCAA Division II's Twitter and Facebook accounts.
In the GLVC statistical rankings – Heading into this week's play, Lewis currently has two players ranked among the league's statistical leaders.
- D'Avanzo is tied for second in the league in rebounding with 8.2 per game and is 13th in scoring with 15.6 per outing.

Adam Pischke (Cary, Ill./Marian Central Catholic) ranks fifth in the league in assists with 3.9 per contest and is tied for eighth in steals with 1.54 per game.
About McKendree – Senior guard Logan Kohrmann averages 19.3 points per contest while junior guard Oliver Stephen is averaging 12.2 points per outing for the Bearcats, who are 12-12 overall and 7-9 in GLVC play.
Series vs. McKendree – Thursday's contest marks the 11th meeting all-time between McKendree and Lewis with the Flyers holding an 11-0 advantage.
About Southern Indiana – USI brings a five-game winning streak into Thursday's contest against Illinois Springfield after wins over Lindenwood (101-77) and Missouri-St. Louis (67-66) last weekend. The Eagles are 19-5 overall and 11-5 in GLVC play heading into Thursday's action. Emmanuel Little leads USI in scoring and rebounding with 16.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
Series vs. Southern Indiana – The Screaming Eagles hold a 47-27 all-time series lead versus the Flyers after Lewis won two of three meetings in 2018-19. The Flyers defeated USI 79-69 in Romeoville, and in Evansville 83-73, while the Eagles won in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional semifinals, 62-61. USI held a 30-11 advantage in games at the old Physical Activities Center but this will be the first meeting in Screaming Eagle Arena.
