Flyers Receive At-Large Bid To NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS – The Lewis Flyer women's basketball team secured an At-Large berth and the NCAA Midwest Region's sixth seed to the 2019-20 NCAA Tournament. The Flyers will head to Drury University in Springfield, Mo., for the Midwest Regional tournament, starting Friday, March 13.

Lewis' first round game against No. 3 seed Walsh is rematch of last year's first round game which was won by the Flyers at Drury. The game will be played Friday, March 13 at noon at the O'Reilly Family Events Center. The second round will be on Saturday, March 14 and the Sweet 16 round will be on Monday, March 16. The National Championship Elite Eight will be held in Birmingham, Ala. Starting on Tuesday, March 24.

Lewis is making its 15th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, its eighth straight and third under head coach Samantha Quigley Smith.

Individual session tickets will go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. and are $10 for adults, and $4 for students and children aged 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the O'Reilly Family Event Center box office, open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
