ROMEOVILLE, Ill. -- The No. 25 Lewis University women's volleyball team swept Drury at Neil Carey Arena Friday (Oct. 28). The Flyers won three straight sets, 25-21, 25-23, 25-17.

SET BREAKDOWN
FIRST SET: No. 25 Lewis 25, Drury 21
- Drury scored the first two points of the match before Lewis scored four straight capped off by a kill by Stefanski.
- Lewis made it a 12-8 lead after back-to-back kills by Farah Taki (North Aurora, Ill./West Aurora).
- The Panthers rallied and grabbed a 17-16 lead midway through the set.
- The Flyers used a 7-2 spurt capped off with a service ace by Stenman.
- Van Loo recorded the kill to make it 25-21 to win the first set for Lewis.
SECOND SET: No. 25 Lewis 25, Drury 23
- Drury led 9-6 early in the second set before Lewis rallied for three straight points to tie it at 9-all capped off by a kill from Stenman.
- Both teams each scored five points each to make it 14-14.
- The Flyers scored five points in a row which was capped off by a service ace from Stenman.
- Ray gave the Flyers set point after recording a kill but the Panthers would not give up as Drury scored two straight to make it 24-23.
- Ray ended up with another kill to win the second set for Lewis, 25-23.
THIRD SET: No. 25 Lewis 25, Drury 17
- Lewis jumped out to an early 5-1 lead after Stefanski and Ray recorded a block.
- Stefanski capped off another run for the Flyers with a service ace after Drury looked to make it close.
- The Flyers had total control of the third set after going up 20-9 late in the third set.
- Lewis had match point after going up 24-12 with a block from Stefanski.
- Drury would not give up as the Panthers scored five in a row to make it 24-17.
- Schlechte ended the match and won the game for the Flyers after recording a kill.
Final Score: No. 25 Lewis 3, Drury 0
