ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Lewis University women's basketball team earned its fourth win at home this season after defeating University of Indianapolis, 68-53, at Neil Carey Arena on Saturday, January 28.

SUMMARY
Lewis jumped out to a 9-3 lead to start the game with Schmidt scoring five of the Flyers first nine points. University of Indianapolis was able to put together a 7-0 run of its own to take its first lead of the game with 2:49 left in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Schmidt made a 3-pointer in the opening two minutes to tie the game at 20 and Badali would make a 3-pointer later to give Lewis its first lead of the second quarter at 26-25. From that point, Hart would add two 3-pointers herself over the next two minutes of play and the Flyers would close the quarter on a 10-0 run.
In the third quarter, Lewis outscored the Greyhounds 20-10, extending its halftime lead of 11 to 21. The Greyhounds were held scoreless in the final two minutes and 38 seconds of the second half.
The Flyers ended the contest shooting 41.1 percent (23-of-56) from the field and 46.2 percent (12-for-26) from 3-point range. In the win, Schmidt notched her fifth double-double of the season.
Lewis ended the Greyhounds four-game winning streak as the Flyers held the Greyhounds to 32.8 (19-of-58) shooting from the field and 18.2 percent (4-for-22) from behind the arc.
